Kenneth Niles
Kenneth Boswell Niles was born to Harry and Grace Niles in Beaver County, OK on March 11, 1919.  He left
this life on April 25, 2008.  He graduated high school in Beaver and then worked driving a gasoline transport
before marrying Betty Jo Tilton on April 28, 1940 in Woodward, OK. Kenneth served as a Machinist Mate in
1049th Seebees U.S. Navy Construction Detachment during WWII, stationed in England.  After his discharge in
January 1946, he and Betty lived in Drummond, OK where he worked for the hardware store.  He was saved
and baptized in 1950 at the Congregational Church in Drummond.  They raised their growing family there until
they moved to Borger in 1955.  He began working with his brother-in-law, Harry Jackson in his business--
Jackson Refrigeration.  After Harry’s retirement, Kenneth started Niles Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.  He was
later joined in business by his son, Philip and then his son-in-law Gentry Trahern.  After his retirement he still had
his hand in several business ventures and he enjoyed gardening--mostly eating the fruits of his labor or giving it
away.  He enjoyed spending time in his backyard and loved being with his family.  He was a member of
Refrigeration Service Engineers Society and Wesley United Methodist Church.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Ralphona, a brother Karl, his wife Betty and their son,
Paul.
