C.C. Leonard, 91, passed away, Wednesday, February 10, 2010 in Garden City, KS.
Cleatis Clinton Leonard was born October 4, 1918 in Quanah, TX to Louis and Lillie Mae (McNutt) Leonard. He married Lola Mae Collins on August 4, 1938 in Quanah. After working as a farmer and cowboy for four years, Mr. Leonard entered the US Army during WWII. After his discharge, he worked for Phillips Petroleum Company for over forty years. He moved to Garden City, KS in 2006. C.C. enjoyed traveling and he loved his family dearly. He also loved to go to the cabin in the Colorado mountains in the summers to fish and visit friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter and two sisters.
Survivors include his son Ronnie Leonard and wife Linda of Holcomb, KS; three grandsons, R.C. Leonard and wife Carol of Garden City, KS, Travis Leonard and wife Kim of Holcomb, KS and Cody Leonard and wife Stacie of Holcomb, KS; 8 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be R.C. Leonard, Travis Leonard, Cody Leonard, Adam Leonard, Ryan Leonard and Keith Leonard.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Tyler Leonard and Payton Leonard.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Brown Chapel Of The Fountains in Borger, TX with burial to follow at 1:30PM at Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo, TX.
Mr. Leonard will lie in state in Borger on Thursday & Friday, February 11 & 12, 2010 from 8:00AM ~ 8:00PM.
