Lavern Tekell

Lavern Tekell, 90, of Borger, passed away, Tuesday, March 2, 2010.

Lavern Mildred (McFadin) Tekell was born Wednesday, July 16, 1919 in Throckmorton County.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Borger and member of the Eastern Star.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Al Tekell in 2005.

Survivors include her daughter, Diana Simpson of Phoenix, AZ; grandson, Phillip Simpson of Phoenix, AZ and granddaughter, Carey Norton of Amarillo, TX.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Brown Chapel Of The Fountains with burial to follow at Highland Park Cemetery in Borger, TX.

Mrs. Tekell will lie in state in Borger on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 from 8:00AM ~ 5:00PM.
