William Herbert "Herb" Chisum

William Herbert “Herb” Chisum, 89, passed away, Saturday, November 26, 2011 in Borger.

William Herbert “Herb” Chisum was born on May 5, 1922 in Indian Territory, OK to Willie Claiborne Chisum and Edna Lee Price Chisum.  He married Elene Termin on November 5, 1944 in Borger, Tx. Mr. Chisum was a veteran serving in the army. He was a maintenance foreman for Phillips Petroleum for many years.  He was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Chisum loved to joke and always had a printed joke to pass to everyone to read, which, was not to be kept by the reader.  He recognized that he could not tell a joke.  He is the last of seven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include two daughters Jerri Phillips of Lubbock, Tx, Nikki Jinkins of Wimberley, Tx, four grandchildren Heather Medley and husband Billy of Shallowater, Tx, Curtis Jinkins and wife Toni of Austin, Tx., Heidi Bennett and husband Greg of Round Rock, Tx. and Cody Jinkins and wife Randi of Schertz, Tx., six great grandchildren Clayton Medley, Preston Medley, Addison Medley, Trenton Medley, Jasper Jinkins and Lillian Bennett.

Funeral   services will be held at 2:00PM, Monday, November 28, 2011 at Westlawn Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Opportunities Center Inc. 930 Illinois Borger, Tx. 79007.
